Pathologist AssistantProvides consultation, histology, and diagnostic services to promote discoveries that advance diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, located in the metropolitan Washington DC area, is seeking a full-time ASCP certified Pathologists' Assistant to manage human cases (Autopsy consults including Clinical Trials) and preclinical animal studies (GLP and non-GLP).Job Responsibilities:Case tracking managementGross tissue dissectionX-raysDigital photographyOrganization of lab work for the pathologistWriting preliminary reports for analysis.Job Requirements:Candidate must have completed a Pathologists' Assistant training program (NAACLS) or hold an MS degree in the biologic sciences with a background in gross tissue analysis.National Certification (ASCP) preferred.Hands-on laboratory experience required.Must be well organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must adhere to GLP, CAP, and SOP policies and procedures, as applicable.Strong computer competence required (Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
