Patent Attorney PositionStinson LLP is seeking a highly motivated patent attorney to join its Phoenix, Arizona office. We also defend clients against claims of infringement.The major clients that we advise include companies in the following industries: medical devices; consumer devices; transportation; construction; agribusiness; sports and recreation; cannabis; heat, ventilating and air conditioning; infrastructure protection and repair; manufacturing equipment; and electrical and fiber optic connectors.This position's responsibilities would include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical engineering fields, drafting and reviewing intellectual property and technology related agreements and licenses, and providing patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.QualificationsJuris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar engineering degree and/or work experienceExcellent academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task efficiently and be an independent thinker.U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.Licensed to practice law in Arizona.Applicants should provide a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcripts, law school transcripts, and a technical writing sample. The salary range for this role is $200,000 – $250,000. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
