The successful candidate will engage in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical engineering fields, as well as advising on intellectual property and technology-related agreements.
Duties
- Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in mechanical engineering.
- Review and draft intellectual property and technology-related agreements and licenses.
- Provide patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.
- Licensed to practice law in Arizona.
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
Education
Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law. Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
Certifications
U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
Skills
Excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task efficiently. Independent thinker with excellent academic credentials.
