The successful candidate will engage in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications within the mechanical engineering fields, as well as advising on intellectual property and technology-related agreements.
Duties
- Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in mechanical engineering.
- Review and draft intellectual property and technology-related agreements and licenses.
- Provide patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
Education
- Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law.
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
Certifications
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
