What You’ll Do: As a Pastry Cook II at SodexoMagic, you are a creative team player with a passion for quality baking and pastry. You’ll prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and food safety. Your attention to detail and passion for food will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.
Responsibilities include:
Accurately and efficiently prepare, bake, portion, finish, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods for daily service, special events, and catered functions.
Read and follow recipes, production sheets, and product specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
Prepare and finish items such as cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts, pies, breads, creams, fillings, and other desserts as required.
Measure and scale ingredients accurately and maintain proper preparation and storage procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry production area in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Monitor product quality, freshness, appearance, and proper holding temperatures throughout production and service.
Assist with inventory, proper storage, labeling, and rotation of pastry ingredients and finished products.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to meet production needs and service requirements.
May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business.
Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
What You Bring:
Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
3–4 years of related pastry or baking experience preferred.
Culinary or pastry education preferred.
Knowledge of basic baking techniques, food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
