Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Water Treatment Operator to work in our Pasco, WA location. The Water Treatment Operator will report to the O&M Manager, perform the duties described in the job description below, and be considered a non-exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be organized, have the ability to interpret instructions, and have attention to detail. The candidate will have prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants.

Starting Rate of Pay:

• $35.50 per hour

Monitor the plant operation

Keep records of operation

Carry out quality checks and chemistry control

Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor

Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals

Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks

Monitor filter press operation

Coordinate sludge storage and movement

Assist plant operators in collecting water samples

Assist in the maintenance of the plant on a required basis

Other Duties as assigned

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to be hands-on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.

Physical Job Demands:

Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders, cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
