Partnership Taxation Manager (Asset Management)As a Partnership Taxation Manager (Asset Management), you will lead and review complex partnership tax engagements while providing high-quality tax consulting services to asset management clients. You will work closely with the Partnership Tax team to deliver accurate, compliant, and value-driven tax solutions, focusing on partnership taxation under Subchapter K, client service excellence, and team leadership. This role offers access to advanced tools, collaborative teams, and a growth-oriented environment designed to help you succeed.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform primary and secondary reviews of complex partnership, joint venture, and non-corporate entity tax returnsEvaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage IRC §704(b) capital accountsManage multiple client engagement teams; plan, execute, and complete tax projects across asset management clientsDeliver tax planning, consulting, and compliance services, including partnership structuring, entity formation, and M&A transactionsDesign and implement tax-planning strategies while managing engagement budgets and timelinesResearch and consult on complex tax matters, primarily related to Subchapter K partnership taxationUtilize tax software and research tools to prepare, review, and process returnsRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authoritiesMaintain ongoing client communication to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and strengthen client relationshipsManage, train, mentor, and evaluate staff; provide engagement-level and year-end performance feedbackSupport business development efforts, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and client pursuitsPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA certification (Required)Minimum 6–10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a mix of public accounting and industryStrong experience in partnership taxation with a focus on Subchapter KAbility to work in-office 3 days per week (Hybrid model)Ability to travel as business needs requirePreferred ExperienceExperience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitionsAsset management, private equity, hedge fund, or real estate partnership experienceRequired Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced knowledge of US GAAP, partnership returns, joint ventures, and non-corporate entity taxationStrong understanding of IRC Subchapter K partnership taxation and §704(b) capital accountsExcellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skillsExceptional client service and communication skills with the ability to build long-term client relationshipsProven leadership abilities, including recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring professionalsStrong written, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
