The Partnership Advocate plays a crucial role in fostering relationships and collaboration between various stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and individuals. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who is passionate about social work and committed to making a positive impact in the community. The ideal candidate will utilize their skills in public speaking, program development, and leadership to educate and advocate for resources that support individuals facing challenges such as poverty, gate-keeping, stagnation due to lack of training or resources, etc...
The Partnership Advocate will earn a commission based on performance and the sale of covers, tickets, artwork, merchandise, products, and/or services as agreed upon or as instructed by the Executive Director of Love is Human, LIMITED. Love is Human, LIMITED is a local nonprofit organization focused on growth, creation, and innovation through sustainability efforts and strategies. We serve to reignite the hearts & minds of those in need everywhere we go through holistic case management practice. Love is Human, LIMITED works with a variety of clients such as creatives, innovators, entrepreneurs, business owners, other nonprofit organizations, and more. We are all about acceptance, kindness, honesty, and compassion as well, so Love is Human, LIMITED maintains a ZERO tolerance discrimination, harassment, and violence policy. We care for our personnel, so we strive to make our spaces safe and focused through a lens of love and empathy. We will also accommodate mileage and food costs through reimbursement when instructed by the Executive Director and Finances Director of Love is Human, LIMITED. 15%-30% commission rate range:
- 15-22% for artwork, merchandise, product, and/or service sales at Love & Allies Partnership partner venues
- 30% for artwork, merchandise, product, and/or service sales on the Love is Human website
- 10% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 20 or less
- 15% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 20-30
- 20% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 30-40
- 25% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 40-50
- 30% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 50-60
- 40% for ticket/cover sales for an audience of 60+
Commission rates are established during the interview based on experience and expertise. Partnership Advocates will also be trained once a week based on Partnership Advocate and Partner Venue preferences. This will include a variety of professional development training and industry-specific training based on their chosen Partner Venue of the Love & Allies of ATX Partnership. Our several Partner Venues are offering the following industry-specific training:
- Love is Human HQ; ONLY FOR TOP CANDIDATES; Nonprofit Management & Community Organization
- Love Riot Studios; AV & Recording
- Delilah's Front Porch; Event Management & Live Sound Production
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that address community needs and promote partnerships.
- Engage in public speaking events to raise awareness about the organization's mission and initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- Supervise volunteers and personnel involved in partnership initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals, if you meet growth standards at training sessions in collaboration with overall performance by your 6th month in this position.
- Educate community members on available resources and support services related to creativity, innovation, growth or sustainability efforts
- Lead fundraising efforts to secure resources for program development and sustainability.
- Collaborate with local organizations to enhance outreach efforts and expand the network of support services.
- The selling, distribution, coordination, promotion, and/or organization of all artwork, merchandise, products, and /or services provided by Love is Human, LIMITED and all affiliated partnerships, programs, and assigned partner venues as instructed.
THIS POSITION IS VOLUNTEER-BASED WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR COMMISSION ON THE SERVICES PROVIDED AND MERCHANDISE SOLD UNTIL WE RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public speaking and engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis to inform program development.
- Background in social work or nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams or volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to educate effectively.
- Experience in fundraising or resource mobilization is a plus.
- Assisting with sale of all covers, tickets, artwork, merchandise, products, and/or services as agreed upon or as instructed by the Executive Director of Love is Human, LIMITED
- Caring for the Partner Venue of the Love & Allies of ATX Partnership
- MUST have a desire to learn and grow.
- Active-listening is a huge plus
- Anticipating Partner Venue and Community needs is a plus as well, but this is also considered a trainable skill.
- A passion for community service and a commitment to improving lives through advocacy.
- Strong desire to improve and expand community programs and venues (partner venues are assigned based on availability, interest, and distance from the Partnership Advocate)
This role requires an individual who is proactive, compassionate, and dedicated to creating meaningful partnerships that drive positive change within the community.
