Job Title: Partner (Corporate/IP law)
Location: Manhattan (NY) or NJ (Morris County)
Salary: $300,000+
I'm working exclusively with a well-regarded, independent New York and New Jersey firm on a search for an IP Partner. It's a 170+ Attorney platform with a strong name in the market, no debt, and a partnership culture built around letting rainmakers run their own book.
The opportunity
The firm has just brought in a Hatch-Waxman litigation Partner and is looking to build a broader IP offering around them. They'll consider either a Corporate IP Partner (licensing, IP transactions, tech and life sciences-adjacent work), or a IP Litigator (patent, trademark, copyright or trade secrets outside of Hatch-Waxman).
The New Jersey office is in a new, modern space with room to grow, and there's a lot of appetite to fill it. The firm is open to a Northern NJ or New York base, and a group would be welcome.

Who I'm looking for
- J.D. + Admitted to practice in NY/NJ, Partner-level IP Attorney with a portable book of business
- Corporate IP or IP litigation experience (non-Hatch-Waxman preferred for litigators)
- Entrepreneurial, and someone who wants to run their own practice rather than sit inside a rigid structure
- Small groups considered, and the firm can build out associate support around the right book
