Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Sunday
Available Shifts: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and 10:00 PM–6:00 AM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to provide security coverage at a gatehouse in Jessup, Maryland. The officer will monitor inbound and outbound trailers, control access to the property, and help maintain a safe and secure environment.
Essential Duties
- Monitor inbound and outbound trailer traffic.
- Verify and document incoming and outgoing vehicles and trailers.
- Control access to the property according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate security logs and required documentation.
- Monitor the gatehouse and surrounding areas.
- Report security concerns, incidents, and unusual activity.
- Follow all company and client security procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Dependable, professional, and alert.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Prior security experience preferred.
