Part-Time Teller

Job TitleListerhill Credit Union is a financial cooperative whose primary purpose is to help our members live financially healthy lives. In 1952, seven Reynolds Metals employees deposited $5 each with the idea of starting a credit union that was member-owned and member-focused. Helping co-workers break from predatory lenders to borrow affordably and save for their financial futures, was their motivation.

We have grown from a single office at Reynolds Metals to 18 branches throughout northwest Alabama and south-central Tennessee. Today, we serve 13 counties with a full line of financial solutions. Our purpose and commitment to financial health has never changed.

You will provide basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union procedures.What You Will DoReceive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit into accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into our core processorCash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; disburse funds upon verification of signatures and member balancesPromote and explain other credit union services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates, safe deposit boxes, official checks, and money orders.Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments and ensure the payments match balances due. Upon entering the correct information, must generate member receiptsPlace proper holds on accounts for uncollected fundsCount, check, and package coins and other currencyEnsure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.Report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller stationCheck night depository bags and record proper information on the pertinent formsBalance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to computer-generated balance sheets.
