Job Summary

Thriveworks is seeking licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in California to provide telemedicine care to clients with mental health conditions. The Fee for Service (W2) position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $123,000 per year based on 15‑20 clinical hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations in an ongoing telemedicine capacity.
  • Treat clients aged 14 and older.
  • Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop care plans.
  • Complete and administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools.
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at various sites.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification.
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in state.
  • Experience in psychiatry: 1 year required; 3 years preferred.
  • Comfortable using AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR (a plus).
  • Completion of in‑house training and certification on ADHD treatment standards (all new hires are enrolled in the ADHD Clinic).
  • Licensed and residing in the state in which the practice will occur.
