Monday-Friday 2:15-5:30pm

Seeking an enthusiastic and creative Music Instructor to lead engaging, age-appropriate music activities for our elementary (K 5) afterschool program. This role inspires students through singing, rhythm, movement, and beginner instrument exploration. The ideal candidate brings energy, patience, and a love for working with children while fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Below are the responsibilities & expectations:

-Draw up, plan & implement engaging lesson plans with clear learning objectives pertaining to the subject of Music - must be submitted in a timely manner and follow program's curriculum format
-Introduce students to basic music concepts (rhythm, tempo, pitch, melody, instruments, etc.)
-Lead interactive activities such as singing, movement, rhythm games, and beginner instrument exploration
-Encourage student creativity through songwriting, performance, and collaborative projects
-Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can express themselves
-Develop and direct showcases as part of the program curriculum when we see fit
-Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement and participation
-Collaborate with program staff to align theater activities with program goals
-Uphold the programs standards & protocols
