JOB SUMMARY :
nThe purpose of this class within the organization is to enforce rules and regulations, to provide the safety and welfare to patrons.
nThis class works under close supervision according to set procedures
nnESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nRegular and timely attendance at work, as scheduled.
nLifeguards' pools; enforces rules and regulations; provides safety and welfare to patrons.
nServes as lifeguard and monitors the safety of aquatic facility patrons; participates in enforcing safety policies and procedures; initiates rescues, administers First Aid and/or CPR.
nProvides exemplary customer service to all facility users including, but not limited to, members, class members, facility rentals and school district and club athletes and coaches.
nPerform daily maintenance functions of cleaning deck, restrooms, grounds, and building, etc. Immediately report unsafe equipment, facility, chemical, etc. issues to management.
nChecks and logs pool chemicals every two hours to ensure pools are safe for swimming.
nInsert and remove lane lines as needed. Ensures lanes are marked for current reservations throughout the day.
nChecks all areas of natatorium facility to ensure safety of patrons. Immediately reports unsafe equipment, facility, chemical, etc. issues to management.
nPerforms opening and or closing procedures as directed.
nSets up and converts pools and facility for competitions and other reservations.
nnAdditional Duties :
nAttends bi-weekly in-services to practice skills and maintain certifications.
nProvides excellent customer service when patrons ask questions or have concerns.
nPerforms related work as assigned.
nWorks days, evenings and weekends as required.
nnMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
nEntry level education for this position does not require completion of high school.
nMinimum age for consideration is 16 years of age.
nSpecial Certifications and Licenses:
nAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
nValid Texas Class "C" Driver's License (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
