POSITION AVAILABLE: Part Time - IDEA Instructional Aide.
Anticipated at various locations in Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
Ten (10) Month Position
SCHOOL/PROGRAM: The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey - Nonpublic School Services Department.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Administrator designated by the Board or Superintendent
START DATE: September 1, 2026 - Pending Criminal History Clearance
QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or related setting is preferred.
• Commitment to supporting student learning, growth, and achievement through the provision of a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to accept supervision, implement feedback, and follow established guidelines, procedures, and directives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform duties as assigned in the nonpublic school setting.
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check and verification of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO : Supervisor of Instruction
HOURS: Hourly "as needed" (Follow calendar of assigned school)
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma
2. Experience working with children

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist classroom teacher with non-teaching duties while implementing service plans: management and supervision of assigned students; review and reinforcement of skills and concept under the direction of the teacher.
2. Maintain open lines of communication with classroom teachers regarding assigned students' progress, behavior, and other matters critical to their educational program.
3. Assist with supervision of assigned students during classroom instruction.
4. Provide an atmosphere which promotes positive social and emotional growth and development for assigned students.
5. Aid in the implementing of accommodations and modifications as per assigned students' ISPs.
6. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Instruction.

BENEFIT : DCRP Pension, sick and Personal based on FTE.
SALARY: Following the established MCESA Salary Guide: Step #11 - $19.46 to Step # 18 - $24.23
