Student Office Assistant Positions

Penn State Housing is seeking student employees to fill several part-time Student Office Assistant positions within our six area housing offices.

Applicants must be reliable and be able to follow simple directions and instructions.

Typical job duties include:

  • Answering phones
  • Greeting customers and providing exceptional customer service
  • Receiving and sorting mail/packages
  • Making copies
  • Filing documents
  • Reviewing calendars
  • Making appointments
  • Processing maintenance requests
  • Other general office support and completing special assignments as requested

Office Assistants must be Penn State students and possess the ability to multi-task and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Student Office Assistants start at $12/hour. We offer flexible scheduling within the traditional M-F 8a-5:00p business hours. The ability to foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, student employees and parents is essential. Some positions are available year-round. Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
