Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a standard care arrangement with each supervising physician, updated annually in compliance with Section of Ohio Revised Code.
- Identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
- Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, allowing for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long‑term healthcare issues.
- Educate patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medication.
- Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with organization standards.
- Facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and Quality and Standards according to protocols, and receive and implement constructive directives.
- Travel required.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ohio State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty—pediatric, family, adult, and women’s health.
- Maintain such certification or eligibility throughout the term of employment.
