Additional compensation includes:

- Ensures that the service station is ready for meal service.
- Acts as a liaison between the kitchen staff and waitstaff, ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
- Inspects dishes for accuracy and presentation before they leave the kitchen, ensuring they meet the restaurant's standards.
- Assists in the final plating and garnishing of dishes, ensuring they are visually appealing and ready for service.
- Maintains clear communication with kitchen staff and servers regarding order status, potential delays, and any issues that arise.
- Handles customer complaints and resolves any discrepancies related to food quality or order accuracy.
- Upholds health and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
- 1-3 years of experience; basic culinary knowledge is a plus. Culinary students welcome.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Interest in learning and growing within the kitchen team.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Preferred candidates will have:
- Strong verbal communication skills are essential for effectively relaying orders and coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen eye for attention detail to ensure that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting, particularly in roles that involve food service or kitchen operations, is often preferred.
- Ability to be on your feet and moving quickly throughout the restaurant.
