Part-Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. Role allows clinical engagement while maintaining work‑life balance.
Located at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Huntersville, NC, one of six full‑service emergency & specialty referral facilities in the Carolinas.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Communicate and educate clients
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgeries
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations
- Attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration
- At least 1 year of emergency practice experience
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Team‑oriented mindset
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care
- Ability to secure client communication and build rapport
- Confidence and reassurance with stressed or ill pets
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks

- Clinical proficiency in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological exams

Pay Range
$130,000 – $175,000 USD
Pay reflects full‑time roles; part‑time compensation is prorated based on experience and hours.
