Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a postpartum unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards. Promotes patient-centered care, safety, and quality compliance while educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
Responsibilities
- Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Participates in professional development and nursing committees, supporting service excellence and leadership growth.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and safe practices.
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum education includes a Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree with RN licensure; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years experience preferred for advanced education levels.
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills necessary.
