Business Systems AnalystAs a Business Systems Analyst in IT/Digital, you are expected to perform requirements analysis and define the design and technical specifications to implement a software solution. You will also study the integration needs of that software solution with other solutions (COTS or bespoke) in the landscape to enable a fully integrated capability. You are expected to analyze the requirements, identify conflicting business requirements, come up with solutions that would be discussed to determine the way forward.
To those requirements, you will define the technical requirements; the data layer design, integration requirements, and frontend design taking user experience as a key criterion in the design.What will you do?Engage with the risk management lead and risk management champions to generate the business & technical requirementsDetail requirements, and connect different requirements and their pre-requisitesKeep your eye on the ball: focus on business goals and business outcomes to deliver continuous value to the usersEngage with architects to define the solution designDefine the roadmap of capabilities to be delivered within a 6-12 months durationUsing Agile SCRUM or Kanban, write detailed user stories and use any tools to ensure developers have what they need to understand; process / decision flows, wire frames, etc.Lead conversation to ensure sound workflow definition, and cross-department coordination of needs throughout the workflowTest the system as it is being builtWhat do you need to have?5+ years of experience as a business systems analyst in an agile organizationProficiency with SQL and database managementProven analytical abilitiesProficient systems design and technical writing skillsExperience producing process documentationSome experience with data visualizationExcellent understanding of Agile processesVery good English language working knowledgeExcellent communication and writing skillsGood coordination skillsWhat would be preferred?M.S. in computer science, information science, or closely related field is preferredRisk management knowledge would be an assetPreference to North America time zone; Europe time zone is acceptable.
