Remote Part Time General

Our client is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to manage acute and chronic care patients through preventive and primary care services in both fixed clinics and mobile health units, as well as via telehealth and remote patient monitoring. This role also supports education of rural health professionals and may contribute to clinical research initiatives. This opportunity may be part-time or full-time depending on the selected candidate. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

Clinical Practice:

  • Deliver evidence-based clinical care in a team-based, patient-focused environment within clinic settings and independently on a mobile health unit serving the Orangeburg, Bamberg, Barnwell, and Calhoun regions
  • Provide care for community, employee health, and business health contract populations
  • Practice within scope and established protocols while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Support disease prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
  • Incorporate technology (e.g., MyChart, Carium) into clinical practice
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor for undergraduate and graduate students
  • Monitor and direct nursing care delivered within clinic and mobile sites

Compliance:

  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulatory standards related to scope of practice
  • Document appropriately in the electronic health record to support continuity of care and billing
  • Maintain required licenses and certifications through continuing education

Quality & Patient Safety:

  • Identify quality risks and develop corrective action plans
  • Integrate quality improvement activities into clinical workflow
  • Lead quality improvement projects to enhance patient experience, safety, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with Quality leadership on accreditation, infection control, and compliance standards
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with community partners across South Carolina
  • Participate in community development and public health initiatives
  • Serve as liaison with internal and external clinical entities

Clinical Research & Sponsored Programs Support:

  • Lead or assist in development and implementation of clinical research and sponsored program proposals
  • Integrate research activities into clinical workflow
  • Contribute to study protocol development to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee clinical support for research initiatives
  • Maintain CITI and other required research trainings
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with clinical experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Unencumbered South Carolina APRN license
  • DEA certification for controlled substances
  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
  • BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice
  • Advanced education in chronic disease management, acute care, and/or employee health
  • Experience managing chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, kidney disease)
  • Experience delivering care in rural or underserved areas
  • Background in acute/urgent care, chronic disease management, or employee health
  • Experience with EPIC EHR and/or clinical trials
  • CITI certification, DOT certification, occupational or employee health experience, or diabetes educator certification
