Providing equitable advising to new, returning, and transfer students, the part-time Academic Counselor will work up to 20 hours a week in a hybrid environment, guiding students in academic pathways, interpreting placement results, and connecting them with college resources. Key responsibilities Guide students in selecting programs of study and academic pathways aligned with their goals Review and interpret placement results to support appropriate course selection Develop individualized academic plans that align with students' goals and expected completion timelines Required qualifications Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field Three years of experience in college admissions, academic advisement, or career development Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication with team members Experience using various electronic platforms for communication and student evaluation Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
