Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Physician

Northwell Health is seeking BC/BE full-time Movement Disorders Physicians to join its rapidly expanding Parkinson's and Movement Disorders program. This role involves providing superb clinical care, participating in innovative care models, engaging in collaborative research, leading progressive community programs, and contributing to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team across various locations in Long Island, Manhattan, and Westchester.

Practice Info

• The Parkinson's and Movement Disorders program is among the largest in the Northeast.
• The program provides comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care in its primary academic locations and care centers.
• The surgical program includes an active deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).
• The multidisciplinary team includes specialty-trained, board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons, as well as nurse practitioners, nurses, neuropsychologists, and social workers.
• A unique, dedicated, and specialized 12-bed Parkinson's and movement disorders inpatient unit is established at Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island.
• The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions.

Compensation

• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000.

Requirements

• M.D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited).
• Completion of Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship.
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
