Job Description
At the full performance level (GS-05) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide talks and programs following an outline. Most talks are in the form of a tour which ranges from 20 to 25 minutes in length.
- Serve as a front-line representative of the organization to greet customers and answer questions.
- Provide current, accurate information to visitors about the site and local area, such as the available recreational opportunities, interpretive services, activities, presentations, and hours of operation.
- Operate standard office equipment (such as telephone, computer, photocopier, calculator) to accomplish work.
- Use the internet, books, and primary sources to research topics of interest in order to provide accurate and informative talks and responses to visitor questions.
