The families you will serve are not seeking additional services. They are seeking a trusted advisor they can rely on completely.
This position exists at the core of that trust relationship. You will be the individual families turn to when uncertainty arises, when they seek insight, or when they wish to communicate something important. Not as a transactional function—but because you have cultivated credibility. Your influence will define how families engage with their child's education at one of five California locations: Palo Alto, Piedmont, downtown San Francisco, La Jolla, or South Bay (Los Angeles).
Alpha is constructing a fundamentally different school model. Students complete core academics in two hours daily through AI-powered platforms, dedicating remaining time to public speaking, critical thinking, and practical execution. No traditional lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Top 1% national outcomes. Our families are discerning, well-connected, and often initially skeptical. They demand substantive thinking, not rehearsed responses.
You will steward that dialogue over the long term. Not simply during enrollment, but across multiple years. You will speak with authority about AI—its mechanics, its limitations, and its significance—particularly with families who lead companies, invest capital, or demand rigor in every choice. If you lack the capacity for that caliber of dialogue, this role will prove challenging. If you possess it, this becomes among the most intellectually rewarding positions in education.
This is not client management. This is sustained trust-building with ultra-high-net-worth families who demand discretion, sound judgment, and reliability. If that setting feels natural—and you leverage AI tools daily to enhance thinking, writing, and operational speed—you will understand the opportunity instantly.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assume ownership of every family relationship on campus, cultivating trust that deepens over time
- Identify and address concerns proactively with discretion, urgency, and thoughtful judgment
- Maintain consistent visibility during critical touchpoints: morning arrival, afternoon departure, and strategically designed parent gatherings
- Facilitate ongoing, substantive dialogue about Alpha's AI-powered approach with highly analytical, technology-oriented families
- Develop and iterate community programming that fosters belonging, advocacy, and sustained referral activity
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing admissions pipelines or enrollment metrics—your remit begins once families have enrolled
- Operating primarily from a desk or communicating exclusively via email—this role demands in-person engagement
- Using prepared scripts or avoiding difficult conversations about AI or educational philosophy
- Depending on established frameworks—you will create structure where none currently exists
- Viewing families as portfolio accounts—this role values judgment over task execution
