Responsibilities
Provide peer support to parents and assist them to successfully engage with the program and staff. Support families who have a child(ren) at high risk of being placed out of home. Assist families by helping the parents and/or caregivers identify their needs, role model new strategies, and do ‘whatever it takes’ to promote their success.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. A parent with a child(ren) previously involved in the LA County Department of Children and Family Services, Probation, or Mental Health and have experience as a caregiver of a child with complex needs. Familiarity with LA County DMH preferred. Computer literate. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Able to work evening and/or weekend hours as needed. Must have reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, an acceptable driving record and proof of current auto insurance.
Salary
$22 - $25/hour
