Paraprofessional s, Two Positions, S pecialized Classrooms : Emerson Elementary School; school year; self-contained special education classrooms; not to exceed six hours and 15 minutes per day(6.25 hours)with 30 minutes unpaid lunch; positions also include a 30 minute paid weekly meeting; behavioral focused support, must be willing to be trained in crisis prevention intervention training; must have or obtain an education aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education and meet the guidelines of Every Student Succeeds Act; responsible to building principal and/or designee.
To Meet ESSA requirements : 1. Have earned at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an Institution of Higher Education; 2. Hold at least an Associate's Degree; or 3. Successfully completed the ODE State Mandated Para Assessment. If you have not met one of the three above, must be willing to successfully complete number 3, the Ohio Para Assessment.
Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health-related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as a part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
