Classified Substitute Rate
On-call as needed - This position is temporary and on call as needed, and there is no guarantee of work days and work hours. There is no contract for this position, and no benefits are provided.
Education Required
High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of 48 units from a nationally accredited college or university; or A.A. degree or higher, or the passage of a local assessment test. Minimum of six (6) units in the field of Child Development/Early Childhood Education.
Experience Required
Six (6) months of experience in working with children in a specialized learning environment.
Licenses Required
Valid hands-on First Aid/CPR Certificate (infant, child, adult- online certificates are not accepted)
Materials Required at the time of applying:
- Completed application
- Proof of High School Diploma or Equivalency (copy of official transcript OR copy of diploma is acceptable)
- Copy of official college transcripts (required) showing completion of six (6) units in the field of Child Development/Early Childhood Education
- Copy of official college transcript indicating the completion of forty-eight (48) units from a nationally accredited college or university, or A.A degree or higher, OR passage of a Paraprofessional local assessment test
- Valid hands-on First Aid/CPR Certificate (infant, child, adult- online certificates are not accepted)
