Qualifications
- Paraprofessional License
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations
Responsibilities
- Assist with instruction and helping of individual student with special needs, or in small groups, as needed
- Assist and support teachers to organize learning experiences for student(s)
- Supervision of students during lunch, hallway and bathroom time
- Under teacher direction and guidance, assist in assessing student needs and progress
- Attend meetings as scheduled
- Attend offerings for professional growth
- Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
- Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community
- Help maintain an attractive and inviting classroom environment
- Perform any task or responsibilities which may be directed by the Teacher, Building Principal, or Student Services Director
