Onward Search Education partners with school districts across the country to connect dedicated education professionals with meaningful opportunities. We’re currently partnering with a school district in Boulder County, Colorado to hire a Paraprofessional / RBT for the 2026/2027 school year.
This role will support moderate needs classrooms (PK–5), with most support focused on 2nd–3rd grade students.
Position Details:
- Location: On-site
- School Year: 2026/2027
- Schedule/Hours: Full-time — ~35 hours/week (working hours approx. 8:30am–3:30pm)
- Schedule: Approximately 8:30am–3:30pm, student attendance days
- Pay Range:$27–$30/hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and classroom support under the direction of a certified teacher/special education team.
- Support students academically in 1:1 and/or small-group settings to reinforce classroom learning.
- Implement behavior supports and follow student plans (as applicable), using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies.
- Assist with classroom routines, materials prep, and transitions throughout the school day.
- Monitor and document student progress/behavior observations and communicate updates to the supervising team.
- Support a safe, inclusive environment during classroom and non-classroom times (arrival/dismissal, transitions, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Paraeducator experience and/or RBT certification (note: no BCBA supervision available).
- Minimum 2 years of special education experience in a public-school classroom.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Comfortable working in a mountain community environment.
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to work as a supportive team player.
