Addison Central School District Paraprofessional-Anticipated Vacancies Addison Central School District is seeking full-time Paraprofessionals to work in our Preschool Program for the school year. These individuals will be working with small groups or individual students. The successful candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills and experience working with preschool-age children. Job responsibilities for individuals working in our Preschool Program include actively supporting the lead teacher by reinforcing academic concepts and managing classroom flow for all preschool students. Supervising children throughout the day-including on the playground and during transitions-while promoting positive social behaviors and providing vital emotional support. A core duty involves managing essential personal care tasks, such as assisting children with hygiene, toileting, and meals. Maintaining a safe and tidy learning environment by preparing instructional materials, organizing centers, and consistently sanitizing equipment. Tracking attendance, filing records, and communicating daily with the lead teacher about student progress. If the chosen individual is new to child care, they will need to complete the VT orientation training (a nine hour online training) as well as Protecting Vermont's Children (2.5 hour online training). Within six months individuals must complete CPR/First Aid training. Addison Central School District offers competitive wages.
