Paraprofessional -2026/2027
Alexandria Township School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our school community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities may include:

• Providing instructional and classroom support under the direction of a classroom teacher
• Working with individual students and small groups
• Assisting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Supporting students through the school day, including during transitions, lunch, recess and other activities as needed
• Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment preferred
• Experience working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, dependability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must meet all New Jersey requirements for school employment, including criminal history clearance

Effective:
September 21, 2026 - June 30, 2027
Terms of Employment:

• Salary Range: $33,793 - $49,606 (as per the negotiated agreement)
• Benefits: Single health insurance coverage provided by the Board, with the option to buy up to dependent or family coverage at the employee's expense
