Salary/Benefits
Beginning Salary: $19.29 per hour, in accordance with the Paraprofessional Salary Schedule.

Job Summary
The Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher in providing instructional and classroom support to students. This position works with individual students and small groups, prepares instructional materials, supervises students, and assists in creating a safe and positive learning environment.

Minimum Education, Certification, and Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Illinois Paraprofessional License or approval required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow teacher directions and work independently when needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Assist the teacher with classroom instruction and daily activities.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce instruction.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Assist with classroom management and student supervision.
- Monitor students during classroom, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned activities.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Assist with maintaining accurate student records and documentation as assigned.
- Participate in meetings, training, and professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
- Support student learning and classroom participation.
- Encourage positive behavior and respectful interactions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment.
