Job Description
OPEN POSITION: PARAPROFESSIONAL LEAD - ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY
START DATE: SCHOOL YEAR
RATE of PAY: Stipend – $2000 - complete building lead
$1000 - shared building lead duties
TERM: Paraprofessional Building Leads will be on a rotation schedule with a term of 1 to 3 years based on the building's schedule and staffing.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Support paraprofessionals in the development of knowledge, skill and abilities needed to meet the needs of students.
- Provide training and feedback with instructional and behavioral strategies to support students.
- Provide timely and accurate updates, communication and overall guidance to paraprofessional.
- Attend early out Wednesday professional development and support building paras with learned information.
- Onboard new paraprofessionals.
- Serve as a positive, encouraging role model.
- Support administration with coordinating Paraprofessional substitutes.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to build trusting and professional relationships with adults.
- Remain calm and positive when handling challenging situations.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Employed with the District for more than 2 years.
- Attended paraprofessional early out Wednesday professional development for at least 1 year.
- Well organized.
