In this role, you'll work side-by-side with educators to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), deliver targeted instructional and behavioral support, and foster an inclusive environment where every student can maximize their learning potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of student IEPs.
- Provide individualized instructional support and implement targeted behavior intervention strategies.
- Manage student behavior in various settings, including 1:1 support, small group instruction, and full classroom environments.
- Monitor, document, and report student progress to teachers and school-based teams.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrative staff, and families to support student success.
- Assist with IEP meetings, planning processes, and problem-solving teams.
- Support the integration of educational technology and digital learning tools in the classroom.
- Participate actively in professional learning communities and training sessions.
- Maintain flexibility to adjust to varying assignments, student needs, and building schedules.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Must meet state-specific Paraprofessional qualification requirements.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably within an educational or special education setting.
- A basic understanding of special education practices, frameworks, and behavior management.
- Strong proficiency with technology and digital instructional tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- High level of flexibility and adaptability to work across different school levels and student populations as required by program needs.
