QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalency required
2. Must be highly-qualified **see below for additional information
3. Possesses experience working with children
4. Demonstrates a strong commitment to providing every student a supportive and
structured learning environment, based around high expectations for student
learning and growth
5. Demonstrated ability to accept supervision and to follow through with directives
6. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
7. Satisfactory health status
8. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal
resident alien status
9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate
and acceptable
JOB GOAL:
To promote the achievement of students' educational goals and learning objectives
by providing supplemental and clerical services to assist the classroom teacher; assists
in the supervision of classroom activities under the direction and supervision of the
certified classroom teacher or other designated certified personnel.
SCHEDULE:
1. Six (6) working hours per day, with 1/2 hour lunch.
2. Monday - Friday
SALARY:
Commensurate with applicable experience. Starting salary no experience listed below. (consideration for higher hourly rate for applicants with experience)
Highly Qualified -- $18.88 per hour / 185 days per year
**To be considered Highly Qualified you need to possess 48 or more college credits OR have passed the Paraprofessional Exam.
