Summary:
Our organization is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional at Gwinn Middle/High School to assist with various tasks related to the educational and developmental needs of our students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other staff members. With 60 credits or more, Associates Degree or passage of the Work Keys tests, base pay will be $18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of educational plans for students under the direction of certified teachers
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with physical, emotional, or developmental disabilities
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
- Help to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Provide general classroom support such as preparing materials, supervising students, and maintaining classroom organization
- Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances as required by the organization
