Please Note: The Georgia Academy for the Blind is affiliated with Fulton County Schools , but the campus is located in Macon, GA . Candidates must be able to travel to Macon daily for this assignment.
Position Details

- Monday-Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Onsite
- Location: Macon, GA
- Provide classroom and instructional support to students with visual impairments
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and student learning needs
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and functional skill development
- Assist with mobility, communication, and daily living activities as needed
- Implement student support plans under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff
- Provide individualized assistance to help students access instruction and participate in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success
- Active Georgia Paraprofessional Certification required
- Must have passed the Paraprofessional GACE assessment
- Certification must already be active prior to placement
- Previous special education or school-based experience preferred
- Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred
- Must be available for a full-time Monday-Friday schedule
- Reliable transportation required for daily travel to Macon, GA
