Job Details

• Job Title: Paraprofessional / Educational Assistant

• Location: Exeter, NH

• Setting: School

• Schedule: Full-Time (32.5 hours/week)

• Contract Length: School Year

• Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

• Preferred: Prior experience working with school-aged children or in special education settings preferred.

• Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate Degree or ParaPro assessment certification preferred per state guidelines).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students individually or in small groups under the direction of the lead teacher.

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and focused learning environment during classroom activities, transitions, and recess/lunch routines.

• Monitor and record student behavioral and academic progress as instructed by special education staff.

• Support students with organizational skills, daily tasks, and self-regulation techniques throughout the school day.
