Long Term Sub Paraprofessional Position
This long term sub paraprofessional position is in the ECFE/School Readiness Preschool program in the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. The position is from August 24, 2026 through December 7, 2026 Monday through Thursday 8:00a.m. - 3:30p.m., during the school year. Pay/Benefits: $18.26
Job duties include working with students in both individual and small/large group settings to reinforce and practice concepts presented by the teacher; helping students to develop social skills and learn to respond appropriately to peers and staff members; assisting the early childhood/preschool teacher in preparing the rooms and materials for classroom activities, as well as room clean up; participating in staff development, including staff meetings, workshops, and in-service training.
Qualifications include ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of students, parents, school staff, and administrators; and experience with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply. This position may involve stooping, standing, sitting on floor, and some light lifting of 10 to 20 pounds or more. A high school diploma is required. The school district requires applicants for school district positions who receive an offer of employment to submit to a criminal history background check.
