JOB DESCRIPTION: The Instructional Aide/Paraprofessional will work under the direction of the teacher in a collaborative setting to provide a well-organized, smooth functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

- Be willing to participate in training as deemed necessary (such as training in Autism Spectrum Disorders, etc.).

- Does accurate record keeping or other paper work.
- Prepares for classroom activities.
- Performs clerical duties (word processing, duplicating, etc.)
- Communicates student progress to teacher.
- Cares for equipment and helps to keep the room organized, neat, and orderly.
- Participates in in-service and professional development opportunities as assigned.
- Assists students in learning proper social habits.
- Works with small groups when appropriate.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
