Non-Instructional Paraprofessional/Duty Aide
The primary purpose of non-instructional paraprofessionals/duty aides is to support students during activities that are not directly related to academic instruction. Essential functions of non-instructional paraprofessionals/duty aides include:
- Ability to monitor large groups of students in various settings (i.e. lunch, recess, etc.)
- Ability to communicate any problems during these activities to appropriate building staff
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Demonstrates personal career development through in-service/other training opportunities as provided by WHRSD
Other Potential Duties Depending on Assignment:
- Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, crisis prevention, etc.)
- Assisting students with transition to/from transportation
- All other duties as assigned
