Shift: Monday through Friday 6:50 AM to 2:30 PM
Job Description
SOS Group is seeking a dependable and attentive Hall Monitor to help maintain a safe, secure, and positive learning environment in our schools. This position is primarily a Hall Monitor role , with the majority of each day spent supervising hallways, entrances, cafeterias, and other common areas. The individual may also provide occasional paraprofessional support in classrooms as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Hall Monitor Responsibilities (Primary Duties):
- Monitor hallways, entrances, cafeterias, and other common areas to maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming school environment.
- Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, class transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times.
- Enforce school policies and procedures regarding student behavior, attendance, and safety.
- Redirect students as needed and report concerns to school administration.
- Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies by following established school procedures.
- Help ensure a positive school climate by building respectful relationships with students and staff.
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional and classroom management activities.
- Support students individually or in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Help prepare classroom materials and assist with daily classroom routines.
- Provide additional support for students with diverse learning needs when assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and confident in a fast-paced school environment.
- Dependable, observant, and able to handle situations with patience and sound judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Willingness to complete a background check and all required school employment clearances.
