Paraprofessional
Ashton-Franklin Center Elementary School is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to support the academic and social development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in classroom management and instructional support
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning materials and skills
- Provide support for students with special needs, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and other accommodations as needed
- Monitor student behavior and provide support during transitions and non-instructional times
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be at least 19 years of age and meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Associate's Degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Paraprofessional Exam
- High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys: Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4) Reading for Information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)
