- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs
- Assist students with academic activities, communication, and daily living skills as needed
- Implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies under the direction of the classroom team
- Support students with mobility, transitions, and classroom participation
- Reinforce social, emotional, communication, and functional life skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and related service providers
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Maintain basic documentation as needed
- Experience working with children or individuals with significant support needs or disabilities preferred
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow individualized education and behavior support plans
- School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One of the following is required: Associate's degree, or 60 college credits, or Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Current First Aid and Hands-on CPR certification.
- Proof of required immunizations: measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), diphtheria, pertussis, and negative Mantoux tuberculosis (TB) test.
