• Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate actions following advanced protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to offer reassurance and information.
• Serve as team leader on scene, managing the scene and ambulance unit when needed.
• Drive the ambulance during emergency responses.
• Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community outreach to promote positive relations and maintain the organization's image.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• State Paramedic License and Ambulance Driver's License
• Medical Examiners Card and valid State Driver’s License
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a physical agility test
• Healthcare experience preferred
