Senior Litigation Paralegal – Special Districts (Los Angeles)
Fully Remote Must be based in Los Angeles, CA
A nationally recognized California law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support its Special Districts and Municipal Litigation practice based in Los Angeles.
This role is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who enjoys being deeply involved in complex litigation, trial preparation, and environmental or public-sector matters. You’ll work closely with attorneys on active cases from inception through resolution, serving as a key second-chair resource on a highly regarded team.
What You’ll Do
- Support municipal, special district, and civil litigation matters from inception through trial
- Act as second-chair paralegal on active cases, including trial preparation and in-court support
- Manage e-discovery, document review, privilege logs, and productions
- Cite-check, proofread, and assist with drafting and assembling briefs, motions, and exhibits
- Organize and maintain case files, service emails, and litigation calendars
- Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, witness lists, and demonstratives
- Coordinate with vendors, court staff, and opposing counsel as needed
What They’re Looking For
- 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- Experience supporting complex litigation; municipal, environmental, or special districts work is a strong plus
- Comfort with trial preparation and live case support
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume matters
- Proficiency with litigation technology and research tools (e.g., discovery platforms, Westlaw)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Los Angeles–based, with availability to be in the DTLA office as needed for trial
Compensation
- Expected range: $90,000–$95,000+ , depending on experience and location
- Non-exempt role with overtime eligibility
