Commercial Real Estate Paralegal | Chicago | Hybrid | Up to $115K for 1,500 Billable Hours
Location: Chicago Loop
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 35-hour work week
Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote following onboarding
Salary: $85,000–$115,000, depending on experience
Bonus: Eligible
Overtime: Eligible
Billable Requirement: 1,500 hours annually
Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys with a variety of commercial real estate transactions
- Prepare and manage due diligence checklists
- Conduct comprehensive title and survey review and prepare objection letters
- Draft, review, and revise leases, loan documents, deeds, conveyance documents, and other transaction documents
- Prepare and review organizational documents
- Conduct UCC, judgment, and lien searches
- Coordinate signature pages for closings
- Work directly with clients and other business parties throughout due diligence, closing, and funding
- Coordinate electronic and paper recording of documents
- Prepare and distribute closing binders and post-closing deliverables
- Manage multiple transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience required
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with Simplifile or a comparable e-recording platform preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent client service
