Paralegal OpportunityLocation: East Meadow, NY Schedule: Full-Time | 35-Hour Work Week Compensation: $30.22–$35.71/hour, based on experience Industry: Real Estate LawStarts Align is partnered with a well-established Long Island law firm seeking a Paralegal to join its growing Condominium, Cooperative & Homeowners Association practice in East Meadow, NY.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who is interested in developing specialized experience within condo, co-op, HOA and real estate law.The firm is open to candidates with 1–3 years of paralegal experience, particularly those with exposure to real estate, real estate transactions or regulatory agencies. They are also willing to train a motivated candidate with a Paralegal Certificate and limited or no prior experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct administrative and paralegal support to a Partner within the Condo/Co-op/HOA practiceOpen, organize and maintain client and matter filesDraft and revise correspondence and legal documentsConduct initial reviews of client files and identify relevant documentationPrepare document binders and required materials for submission to the New York State Attorney General's OfficePrepare and organize materials for delivery to clientsAssist with scheduling and coordinating mediations, meetings and conference callsCommunicate professionally with clients, attorneys, administrative agencies and other partiesProcess monthly client invoices and assist with billing administrationEnter and maintain information within the firm's billing and document systemsProvide additional support to attorneys and the practice group as neededQualifications1–3 years of paralegal experience preferredExperience with general real estate, real estate transactions or regulatory agencies is a plusCandidates with a Paralegal Certificate and no prior experience may be considered and trainedParalegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree preferredHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable interacting with clients, attorneys and administrative agenciesAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookWillingness to work occasional overtime when necessaryStrong desire to learn and grow within the practiceCompensation & Benefits$30.22–$35.71/hour, commensurate with experience35-hour work weekMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid Time Off401(k) / Profit Sharing PlanWhy Consider This Opportunity?This role offers the opportunity to join an established Long Island legal practice and develop specialized experience within the condominium, cooperative and homeowners association space.For someone earlier in their paralegal career, it provides direct exposure to experienced attorneys, clients, real estate matters and regulatory filings, with an opportunity to build a long-term career within a specialized area of real estate law.
